Surrey Life-Wide Learning Award Pilot

The value of a more complete education

The Surrey Life-wide Learning Award encourages you to make your own education more complete through the things you do on or off-campus in addition to your academic programme. It is this ‘whole life’ or ‘life-wide’ learning that enables you to become the person you want to be.

The Award recognises your commitment to your own development as a whole person. It encourages you to reveal how you have developed a number of key attributes that are essential to being successful in an increasingly complex and uncertain world. These key attributes are also essential to being employed or self-employed.

The concept of life-wide learning, encompasses formal and informal learning in the classroom, on work placement, in paid or unpaid part-time work, community service and other voluntary activities, through travel and exposure to other cultures, participation in sporting and artistic activities and in many other aspects of life.

The Pilot will take place between May 2010 - February 2011. All undergraduate students are eligible but we only have a limited number of places—so don’t miss out! Register now or find out more by reading the promotional leaflet or contacting Charlie at SCEPTrE, Email: lifewideaward@surrey.ac.uk and be one of the first to get this prestigious new Award!
