When is the latest date I can join the scheme as I am away over the summer?
We are offering several introductory workshops in June (check home page for details). You can join the scheme while you are holiday as we are putting the introductory workshop on line (see Tutotials).
How will our learning be assessed?
The responsibility is on you to make your informal learning visible through: 1) questionnaires 2) a reflective diary or blog 3) a reflective account at the end of the process. There is guidance on what the assessors are looking for and we will provide examples of reflective writing produced by other students. Assessors will be looking for a habit of critical reflection (regular entries to your diary) and an end account that synthesises and integrates your learning. Outcomes are not graded, thye outcome will be judged sucessful or not successful (with feedback on how to become successful).
I am not familiar with e-portfolios will there be training or could I submit my work for assessment in hard copy?
Portfolios can be created as a set of word documents as long as they are accessible to the assessors. Alternatively, you can use a blog (we have links to some really easy to use blogs which you can simply send an email or text to update) or pebble-pad e-portfolio if you prefer. We want to encourage you to be creative and use the media that you believe empowers you.
I am a part-time student/ I am a Erasmus student/ I am a distance student - Can I take part in the award? If I can how will it work?
Yes to all of these questions. We want to be as inclusive as possible.
If you cannot physically attend the workshops because of time restrictions, you are on an exchange or living and studying at a distance you can use the Tutorials to work through the Guidance and Exercises necessary to complete before you complete the Learning Agreement.
