How To Register
If you are an undergraduate student you can register your interest in the Lifewide Learning Award by completing the Application Form and returning it to the scheme coordinator at lifewideaward@surrey.ac.uk. The form will also invite you to sign up for the next available workshop or complete the online tutorials to introduce you to the scheme. At the end of the workshop/ tutorials you will be invited to prepare a Learning Agreement which will register you for the Award. To get started click here

Award Requirements
To achieve the award you must:
1) Participate in a self-managed personal development process, taking responsibility for creating a personal - professional development plan, engaging in self-determined activities and experiences and periodically reviewing your own development.
2) Participate in three workshops or online tutorials to facilitate self-evaluation, personal development planning and CV preparation.
3) Create a Lifewide Learning Portfolio to record and demonstrate how learning is gained and integrated through a variety of life experiences.
4) Prepare a reflective account to summarise the learning and achievements gained (and often already gained) through the experiences documented in your portfolio, referring to how the key capabilities promoted by the award have been developed. For a list of the key capabilities please click here
5) Update your CV to demonstrate increased self-awareness of what you have learnt and how you have developed to improve your employability prospects.
The total effort required to gain the award, including planning and evaluation workshops, portfolio creation, engagement in life-wide learning experiences, and preparation of a reflective account and an enhanced CV is about 150 hours. However, the real additional time on top of things that you are already doing (like part-time work) is likely to be more like 50 hours.
